Shunsui Kyoraku
Shunsui Kyoraku is one of the fiercest opponents anyone could stand against. Shunsui is the captain of the 1st division and due to immense power, he easily takes over the position of captain-commander of the soul society with a vote of confidence from other members after the death of Yamato.
Shunsui has one of the most powerful Bankai and he has shown his power on o number of occasions, fighting against the powerful members of the Gotei 13 and defeating them in fights with his own sets of crazy rules.
Kenpachi Zaraki
Kenpachi Zaraki has spent most of his early years, fighting for survival as he grew up in the most lawless society where the only hope for survival was to keep on fighting. All this life of fighting, made him fierce and powerful, so much so that he was recruited in the soul society, becoming the captain of the 11th division after a ruthless battle against the previous captain. And astonishingly, he did all that without even mastering the Bankai or Shikai.
His Zanpakuto makes him even more powerful, granting him the ability to cut through anything that comes in his way, using a powerful blade. He sure is a deadly force to be reckoned with.
Kisuke Urahara
Kisuke Urahara is one of the most intelligent Captains of the Gotei 13, to the point that even Aizen admits that he is smarter than him. After being exiled Kisuke Urahara opens a store that sells Shinigami items.
Kisuke has a ton of abilities and skills, including mastery in Kido, super speed, and swordsmanship. Kisuke even has Bankai which’s immensely powerful with the ability to restructure.
Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto
Yamamoto has the most strong Zanpakuto in the series and he is also the one who founded the Gotei 13 and became the Captain Commander of the Gotei 13’s first division before sacrificing his life fighting against Yhwach. And he wields the most powerful Bankai that allows him to annihilate everything and even summon the dead.
Sosuke Aizen
Sosuke Aizen is the notorious villain of the series with one of the most powerful Shikai, which allows him to cause powerful illusions to take away the sense of control from his opponents, leaving them in a vulnerable state. Aizen’s Bankai however was never revealed throughout the series, but despite that, he managed to defeat many of the captains and powerful warriors simultaneously due to his ultimate mastery in Kido and swordsmanship, not to mention his utmost intelligence.
